ArtAccess is an intensive program for High School sophomores, juniors, and seniors who are interested in increased exposure to and experience in the visual arts. Students meet weekly throughout the school year to explore technical and theoretical aspects of art, possible career paths, and to investigate their creative potential as they strengthen their portfolios. Beyond our studios, students meet with artists and craftspeople, curators, gallerists, and other art professionals and take field trips to museums, galleries, and studios beyond the region. In addition to weekly meetings, students are encouraged to participate in community volunteer projects that will contribute to increasing awareness of the importance of art in our community. A collaborative exhibit is the group's final project. They design invitations, write publicity, frame their work and install their own show. Completed application, with references, must be postmarked by September 14, 2007.
