Monadnock United Way is dedicated to improving lives by mobilizing diverse partners and investing in programs and people to create long-lasting measurable change. Monadnock United Way has been serving the community for more than 60 years. In 2016, we undertook a strategic planning process and identified three high-priority foundational areas for our community to address. As a result, at Monadnock United Way, we fight for children, education and financial stability.
As an independent organization, founded in 1952, Monadnock United Way is governed by a board of community members. We are accountable to our local volunteers and donors. Funding, operating and policy decisions are made in the Monadnock region.
To perform our mission, we at Monadnock United Way evaluate regional human service needs, develop resources to meet those needs and allocate these resources effectively. We also foster the spirit of volunteerism and facilitate community initiatives and problem solving. We promote public awareness and understanding through education and communication.
