Parenting Your 4 to 9ers - A Support Group for Parents

Description

These young thru middle years are essential for developing the trusting and balanced relationship you need with your child. A connected relationship is a relationship you can both depend on.

We will cover power struggles, problem solving, sibling rivalry, communication (with child and partner), temperament and developmental stages which will help you set a strong foundation for all that is to come. You will learn to understand the meaning of your child’s behavior and how to address the child’s needs that cause the behavior so you can set appropriate expectations and build a cooperative relationship.

Each meeting will include time to discuss any and all of the day to day struggles and joys you experience in the trenches of parenting as they arise.

Space in the parent group and the children's enrichment program are limited. If you are bringing children to the children's enrichment program, RSVP is required by Friday, September 6. The group starts on Wednesday, September 11 and runs for the school year, following the ConVal school calendar. While you may join at any time (space permitting) or leave at any time, participants are charged monthly. Donations to cover the cost of the children's program are welcomed!
