Inspired by the classic film noirs of the 1940s, Illusions in Crimson is a twist on a classic. The play follows the story of Los Angeles sister-act Betty Withers and Gloria McGivern. The girls are a huge hit, that is until Betty ends up dead. Detectives Lana O'Hara and Sylvester Kirsch are on the case and both comedy and drama ensue as the two investigate the case. Written and directed by Nick Batty, the 40 minute play will be performed as Conval’s submission to the 2018 New Hampshire Educational Theater Guild regional festival.
