Bill James became Chief Executive Officer of RiverMead, a not-for-profit lifecare retirement community located in Peterborough, NH in February 2013. He has approximately 26 years of experience in aging services, primarily in the not-for-profit sector. Since relocating to New Hampshire from Pennsylvania, Bill has joined the Board of the Peterborough Chamber of Commerce, and recently served as the Chair for approximately 1-1/2 years. He is also a member of the Board of Trustees of Monadnock Community Hospital and a member of the Peterborough Rotary Club. He has also served as a mentor for the NH Hoffman Haas Fellowship Program sponsored by the NH Center for Non-Profits.
Bill’s board involvement and service prior to moving to NH included: Friends Services for the Aging, Peace Church Risk Retention Group, Centre County (PA) Chamber of Business & Industry, Centre Volunteers in Medicine (Centre County, PA), ClearWater Conservancy (Centre County, PA), Center for the Performing Arts (Pennsylvania State University), State College (PA) YMCA, State College Sunrise Rotary Club.
Bill is a graduate of Pennsylvania State University and Brandywine College with degrees in agriculture and business. He holds nursing home administrator licenses in New Hampshire, Pennsylvania and Delaware.
